Students who enroll in a Business Education class at Alpha will:
- gain practical, hands-on experiences that will help prepare them for today's challenging and dynamic workplace.
- experience pride and ownership while building their business and technology skill sets with opportunites embedded in working on the Alpha Secondary School Yearbook, the three school stores (The Edge, Legends and The Heights), the Annual Fashion Show Gala and the Alpha Credit Union.
- acquire REAL LIFE business and technology experiences that can be utilized on a personal resume, including opportunities to earn Reference Letters.
- become actively involved in the local business community, which may lead to further networking in the business world.
- have the chance to prepare for early entry into the workplace by earning their Superhost and Serving It Right Certificates.
Achievements
Abigail Dol has been awarded a B.C. School Superintendents Association Technology Scholarship Award. Abigail won a MacBook computer as the grade 11 Provincial winner in a website design contest. She created her winning website "Cupcake Cure" (click here to view!) as part of an assignment in Ms. Vangelista's Computer Applications course. Congratulations Abigail from all of us at Alpha.
