Mission Statement
In science, students develop knowledge and understanding of the living, physical, material, and technological components of their environment. They learn to communicate scientific ideas, data and findings, using scientific terminology and formats appropriate to context and purpose. Students are involved in many field experiences which help them learn practical and real life future applications of science. Our 2 year AP (Advanced Program) courses in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics also allow students an opportunity to receive first-year university/college credit upon graduation. The science department promotes the use of technology in the classroom to enhance students understanding of material and deepen their interest in current affairs.
